Colin Tenaglia works with individuals, families, and business owners to help them make clear and informed financial decisions. His focus is the full picture: how tax, business activity, and long-term financial decisions connect, and how to bring structure and clarity to that whole so clients can move forward with confidence.

Colin's approach to investment thinking is grounded in five questions, asked together rather than in isolation — returns, risk, cost, liquidity, and tax impact. Most of the industry leads with returns and treats the rest as footnotes. Colin treats them as a single equation. He pays particular attention to what he calls real risk — the gap between the volatility number on a factsheet and the actual exposure a household carries in cash flow, concentration, liquidity timing, and after-tax outcomes — and to tax efficiency as a structural decision, not a year-end cleanup.

He places a strong emphasis on transparency and education. Financial advice often feels unclear or unnecessarily complicated. Colin takes the opposite tack: clients should understand what is being done and why, and leave conversations better equipped to make their own decisions over time — not more dependent on an advisor.

Before joining Tenaglia & Associates, Colin spent more than a decade in operations, process engineering, and risk management — a Lean Six Sigma background with formal credentials in process safety. That training shapes how he works today: disciplined, data-driven, and skeptical of methods that look clean on paper but break down in practice. More recently, his graduate work in artificial intelligence and machine learning brought modern analytical tools into the same workflow — used to test assumptions, not to replace judgment.

Colin supports clients across the Wisconsin and Texas offices and works on tax planning, tax preparation, and business advisory. He is focused on building long-term relationships through consistent, clear, and dependable work.
